Man beaten, carjacked on Eight Mile Road in Detroit

DETROIT – A man was attacked and carjacked by two men and a woman Thursday night on Eight Mile Road near John R Street.

The incident happened around 11:15 p.m. at a gas station on the Detroit side of Eight Mile Road.

The man heard a door close while he was lifting the hood on his gold Pontiac G-6 and that's when he was first punched in the head.

He was robbed of more than $100 and his car, but that's not all they took from him.

"I begged her to let me get the stroller and Pampers out of the car before they took it, but she just kicked me in my face," the man said.

The man has a few cuts and bruises, along with a couple of fractured ribs, but he is grateful that his 6-month old girl wasn't with him.

"I'd probably be dead, because I'd never let anyone take her," the man said.

A GoFundMe page was created to help the single father buy a new car seat and baby supplies.
