Undisclosed threat was posted on social media, police say

REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 19-year-old man is in custody for allegedly making a threat against Redford Union High School, police said.

The suspect was taken into custody Tuesday after the threat was posted on a social media account. Police didn't release details about what the threat was.

"We do not believe that there are any other individuals involved. As a precautionary measure, Redford PD has added extra patrols around the high school," the police department said in a statement.

The case will be forwarded to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office for review.
