Dearborn Heights police investigate hate letter

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. – Police in Dearborn Heights are investigating a hate letter sent to a woman from an unknown neighbor.

The family moved into their home less than six months ago. The letter reads, in part:

"Stop the madness. We Americans hate you Arabs."

The letter contains profanity and racial slurs.

The woman wants to remain anonymous because she fears for the safety of her children. Police consider the threat a high priority.
