Off-duty Detroit police chaplain hurt in crash; other driver arrested on suspicion of operating while impaired

3-car crash happened at Meyers, Margareta

DETROIT – An off-duty Detroit police chaplain was hurt Wednesday morning in a three-car crash on the city's west side, the department said.

The crash happened just before 7 a.m. at Meyers Road and Margareta Avenue.

The chaplain is in temporary serious condition.

Police said the driver who hit the chaplain was arrested for driving impaired, but did not specify whether it was drugs or alcohol.
