Water pressure restored in Pontiac after power surge hits city pumps

PONTIAC, Mich. – The Oakland County Water Resource Commission tells Local 4 the City of Pontiac had a wide spread power failure this morning shortly after midnight that also effected the water pumps.

The water pressure throughout the system dropped by about 80% but because it never hit zero pounds per square inch a boil water advisory was not needed.
