ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – A man and woman were arrested Sunday after neither would comply with deputies during a traffic stop.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, a deputy pulled over a vehicle in the 1600 block of Clemens Circle. A man got out of the pickup truck and began walking around to the passenger side, where a woman was at.

Deputies said the man and woman appeared to be intoxicated and both tried to walk away from the deputy as attempted to have them do a field sobriety test.

When the driver was told he was being placed under arrest for operating while intoxicated, the man kept walking away from the deputy and refused to submit to being placed under arrest, officials said. At that time, the deputy deployed his Taser to take the man into custody.

Deputies said the woman began attacking the deputy in the face and kicking him. A Taser was also deployed to get the woman under control.

The man was arrested on charges of resisting, obstructing a police office officer and operating while intoxicated.

The woman was arrested on a charge of resisting and obstructing a police officer.
