Two Auburn Hills schools on lockdown as precaution

Incident at business leads to lockdown and Avondale High, Auburn Elementary

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Avondale High School and Auburn Elementary School are on lockdown as a precaution due to a police investigation in the area.

Police say there is do direct threat to either school. The lockdowns were issued as a precaution because of an incident at an adjacent business.

At approximately 6:45 a.m.,  Auburn Hills Police received a 911 call from someone threatening to do harm at two business in Auburn Hills. One of the businesses that was named in the threat is located near Avondale High School and Auburn Elementary.
