DETROIT – A black man in his 60s was found dead Tuesday in a home in the 2700 block of Deacon Street in Detroit.
Local 4 has learned there are signs of a struggle at the home. The man was found partially decapitated. He suffered a deep slash wound to his neck.
Detroit police said this is being treated as a homicide. The homeowner went to the home and found the man dead, police said. The victim and homeowner had an agreement for the victim to stay at the home, but the victim was otherwise homeless.
A neighbor told Local 4 the house has been known for drug trafficking.
Police are not releasing the victim's identity at this time.
