A 24-year-old man has been charged with giving his pregnant girlfriend the heroin on which she overdosed and died, Pittsfield Township police said.

Nathaniel Myers was arrested Tuesday, more than two months after his 22-year-old girlfriend and her unborn child died.

Police said Myers called 911 on Oct. 31 to report that his 7-months-pregnant girlfriend was unconscious in the Ridgewood Apartment complex and might have overdosed.

Police said it was determined that the woman and the unborn child died from a heroin/Fentanyl overdose.

Myers is charged with delivery causing death. His bond was set at $7,500 cash/surety.
