Two people killed in Lapeer County car crash
Weather may have played a factor in deadly car accident
DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 70-year-old man and his 68-year-old wife were killed in a car accident in Deerfield Township on Monday.
Police say the 70-year-old was driving west on Columbiaville road when he lost control of the car and crossed into the eastbound lane, crashing into an oncoming vehicle.
The driver and his wife were pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the other car was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators believe that Monday's snowy, slick weather and roadway conditions may played a role in the deadly crash.
