ISLAMORADA, Fla. – A Florida man got a big surprise when he went outside his new multimillion-dollar mansion in the Florida Keys. There was a crocodile in the swimming pool.

He says the crocodile was just about eight feet long and looked to be just chilling in the pool. The man says he just moved to the home from Pennsylvania just four days before he saw the crocodile.

Wildlife officials were called to the scene. They believe the crocodile likely went to the pool because it was warm.

The crocodile eventually walked out of the pool on its own and into a nearby body of water.

The American crocodile is listed as a threatened species.
