Scattered snow showers make for slippery morning

Highs in the mid 20s

DETROIT – Cool air has arrived and is here through the weekend. Lake effect snow showers scattered about and cold air combine to make the morning drive slippery in spots.

Heavy snow will stack up in Western Lower Michigan in that snow belt while we’ll see mainly light snow streaming from Lake Michigan. Some areas will get a heavier band of snow laying down a quick inch here and there. Cool Wednesday with temps only in the mid 20s feeling like teens with those breezes WNW 10-15 mph.

Cloudy to partly cloudy Thursday with flurries and chilly numbers. Morning lows will dip into the single digits to low teens, and afternoon highs only in the low 20s tomorrow.

Look for few snow showers Friday in the teens and 20s again. These snows are more of a nuisance than big winter storms. Look for a cool Winter Blast in Motown this weekend.
