Detroit police seek missing woman who suffers from schizophrenia, strokes

DETROIT – Detroit police are asking for the public's help in the search for a woman who suffers from schizophrenia and strokes. 

Sheila Hines has been missing since about 12:42 p.m. Tuesday. She was last seen by a family member at the Medical Pavilion in the 7600 block of East Jefferson Avenue. Hines left the building while the family member was picking up her medication at the pharmacy, which is located in the same building.

Hines, 56, is described as a black woman about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. She has a light brown complexion and was last seen wearing a brown jacket, black pants and fur-covered brown boots. 

Police said she suffers from schizophrenia and strokes. Moreover, she has a tracheotomy from her battle with throat cancer.
