DETROIT – Cool temps as you head out the door and sunshine will be the key to a really nice day. It’s low to mid 20s early on with clear skies and highs later today will be near 40 degrees.
The winds ENE 5-10 make it feel a bit cooler but again, enjoy a fine February day because it all changes tomorrow.
A Winter Storm Watch is out for Metro Detroit and SE Michigan/Southern Ontario Wednesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon.
We will see a morning mix moving in but dry air will battle the onset here tomorrow. That could lead to a little more morning snow than rain. But rain should take over for many of us as highs get into the upper 30s to near 40 degrees tomorrow becoming breezy NE 10-20 mph.
Then, a change back to snow tomorrow night which will bring several inches of snow.
There is a threat in some of our western and northern counties for snow most of tomorrow and Thursday and isolated totals getting into that 6-10” range.
We need to watch the track and position of this storm very closely over the next 24 hours as things may change so stay tuned.
Thursday will be snow adding a few inches on top of whatever we get late Wednesday and it will be very dangerous on the roads.
Temps fall through the 30s perhaps into the upper 20s and winds continue to be pesky NNW 10-25 mph. Before you head out, get the FREE Local4Casters Weather and Storm Pins apps free in your app store under WDIV.
