Police working to identify woman who was hit on I-75 in Detroit

Victim was hit early Sunday morning while walking in northbound lanes near Clark

DETROIT – Michigan State Police are working to identify a woman who was hit early Sunday morning while walking in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 near Clark Street. 

Police said witnesses called 911 around 1 a.m. to report that the woman -- who was dressed in dark clothing -- was walking in the right and center lanes.  A few minutes later, she was hit by a driver in a Honda Santa Fe.

The woman is in critical condition at Detroit Receiving Hospital.
