Video released of shootout in parking lot of Penthouse Lounge in Detroit

DETROIT – Police are searching for a gunman after five people were shot late Sunday night during a shootout in the parking lot of the Penthouse Lounge on Livernois Avenue in Detroit.

Sources said an argument between a man and a dancer spilled out into the parking lot. Guns were drawn and shots were fired around 11:30 p.m.

In video surveillance released by police, the shooter can be seen being held back by two witnesses before firing shots into a crowd. A second shooter can be seen firing back.

Four men, ages 29 to 52, where shot and suffered non-life threatening injuries. A 37-year-old dancer suffered a graze wound.

The shooter is described as black, 25 to 28 years old, 6 feet tall, and weighs 240 pounds. The man has a medium complexion, short afro, scraggly beard and was wearing black clothing. He was seen fleeing the scene in a white or gray Astro minivan.
