WATERFORD, Mich. – A man who police said was caught on camera stealing a package from a Waterford home has turned himself in and has pleaded guilty to a larceny charge.
Police said Timothy Dooley, 33, admitted on Friday to the theft but didn't give a detailed answer about why he took the package. He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 2.
Police said Dooley was identified as the thief just a few hours after they released video and photos of him to the public that were taken on a home surveillance camera.
The video showed Dooley taking a UPS package from the front porch of a home in the 6000 block of Williams Lake Road. The package had deodorant in it.
