Lockdowns lifted at 3 Van Dyke Public Schools

Lincoln high school, middle, elementary school were put on lockdown

WARREN, Mich. – Three Van Dyke Public Schools were put on lockdown Tuesday morning after witnesses reported seeing a man walking in a neighborhood near the schools with a gun.

Warren Mayor Jim Fouts and Superintendent Joe Pius said the lockdowns at Lincoln high school, middle school and elementary school were a precaution.

The lockdowns were lifted at about 9:45 a.m.

All of the schools are near 9 Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue.
