Motorcyclist dies after crash in Macomb Township intersection

Jeremiah King's motorcycle collided with minivan at 23 Mile, Romeo Plank roads

MACOMB TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 29-year-old Macomb Township man died Wednesday night after his motorcycle collided with a minivan at the intersection of Romeo Plank and 23 Mile roads, the Macomb County Sheriff's Office said. 

Jeremiah King was going northbound on Romeo Plank Road at about 9:30 p.m. when his Kawasaki motorcycle hit a southbound minivan that was turning left onto 23 Mile Road, the Sheriff's Office said.

King was taken to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, but died. The Sheriff's Office said he was wearing a helmet. 

The minivan's driver, a 42-year-old Shelby Township woman, was not seriously hurt. 

The Sheriff's Office said alcohol and drugs don't appear to have been factors in the crash, but test results are pending.
