The Improve Detroit app is aimed at fixing problems around the city and one neighborhood on the city’s west side put it to the test.
Trash piled along Larchmont Street and neighbors had enough. They used the Improve Detroit app to notify the city of the problem.
The Improve Detroit app can be used to report running water, potholes, damaged street signs and other issues.
Within 24 hours of reporting the issue, the trash pile was removed.
