Man holding sign on 7 Mile Road in Detroit wounded in drive-by shooting, police say

Police: Shooter was in gray Jeep Cherokee

DETROIT – Someone in a gray Jeep Cherokee drove by and shot a 54-year-old man who was holding a sign Monday on the side of West Seven Mile Road in Detroit, police said. 

The victim was in the 14000 block of West Seven Mile Road holding a Cricket Wireless sign when the SUV, which had three men inside, drove by, police said. Someone used a BB gun to shoot the victim, police said.

The victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police have not released detailed descriptions of the three men who were in the Jeep.
