Livonia police officers rescue ducklings from sewer
Police chief posts photos of rescue on department Facebook page
LIVONIA, Mich. – Livonia Police Chief Curtis Caid gave a shout out Wednesday to two officers who rescued ducklings that had fallen into a sewer.
Caid posted photos of the rescue, which happened Saturday, on the department's Facebook page. The officers used a pool skimmer to get the ducklings out. A location wasn't given.
"Police officers are often portrayed as robotic and non-caring. Over my 37 year career, I have found this to be false. Certainly the compassion demonstrated here doesn't feed that narrative. Thank you Officers Brighton and Davis for your commitment," Caid wrote.
