Jealousy appears to be motive in deadly shooting at Saline apartments, police say

1 killed, 2 hurt Thursday night in shooting at Six Trails Apartments


SALINE, Mich. – Jealousy appears to be the motive behind a shooting Thursday night at an apartment complex in Saline that left one man dead and two others hurt, police said. 

The shooting happened just after 9 p.m. in the 700 block of Valley Circle Drive in the Six Trails Apartments. 

Police said a 27-year-old Ypsilanti man shot his 23-year-old ex-girlfiriend and her new 24-year-old boyfriend before shooting himself. 

The 27-year-old died. 

The other victims are hospitalized.
