Driver rescued after downed power line lands on car in Brighton

BRIGHTON, Mich. – Emergency crews in Brighton were able to free a driver Thursday morning who became trapped inside a car when a downed power line landed on it.

The Brighton Area Fire Authority and DTE Energy are on the scene on Hyne Road, west of Old US 23. 

The driver was not hurt. 

Crews have closed Hyne Rd west of Old US 23, for a power line that came down due to a tree causing multiple vehicles to be damaged. Crews are standing by for DTE Energy
