Vigil turns violent on Detroit's east side

DETROIT – A vigil held for a man killed in a shooting on Detroit’s east side turned violent as fights broke out between members of the community Wednesday evening.

The vigil was for a man killed Wednesday morning in the 6000 block of Rohns Street.

Police were called to Kilbourne and Leroy avenues at about 8:30 p.m.

Several people were taken into custody.

No other information was made available at this time.
