Former Detroit Lions president named CEO of Shinola

Tom Lewand replaces Steve Bock, who left to become CEO of Filson

DETROIT – Former Detroit Lions president Tom Lewand is the new CEO of Shinola. 

Bedrock Manufacturing Company, the parent to Shinola and Filson, announced the senior management restructure on Thursday.

Lewand, who worked for the Lions for 20 years before being fired, replaces Steve Bock, who is leaving Shinola to take over Filson. Bock relocated to Seattle for the job. 

In the announcement, Bedrock Manufacturing said the move enables Jacques Panis to expand his reach toward new initiatives. 

Jacques will report to both Lewand and Shinola founder, Tom Kartsotis. Christopher Hull was promoted to Chief Merchant and will partner with Creative Director, Daniel Caudill. Both Chris and Daniel will report to Kartsotis.

Also, in support of the rapid expansion of the Shinola brand, Bedrock Manufacturing Company promoted the following individuals to senior management roles.

  • Shannon Washburn, Vice President of Watch Product Development
  • Kara Berg, Vice President of Sales
  • Whitney Delgado, Vice President, Design
  • Trish O’Callaghan, Vice President, Communications
