The shooter was the victims uncle

Family members say Jackson lived with his uncle where the shooting took place on Evergreen off of Fenkell, on Detroit's west side. He was attempting to move out of the house they shared.

Jackson reportedly had an argument with his uncle and things got deadly after a physical altercation when his uncle pulled out a gun, fatally shooting Jackson.

The senseless murder comes to a surprise to the close family as they say the uncle cared deeply for his nephew despite reports from the Detroit Police Department who say they've been called to the house four other times this year.

The brother of the shooter, Jacksons other uncle, says it's hard for his family to be strong and believes Jackson would still be alive if there wasn't a gun in the house.

"They loved each other Get the guns out the house because if there wasn't a gun there, this would not have happened."

Police say the uncle stayed on the scene and was arrested.
