OFFICER KROL: Slain Dallas police officer Michael Krol was laid to rest Tuesday in Redford Township. Krol was killed in the line of duty in the Dallas police ambush. The service is at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. He'll be interred at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield. 

DEONTAE MITCHELL: The preliminary exam for three suspects alleged to have kidnapped and killed 13-year-old Deontae Mitchell, of Detroit, in June. 

CHARLES PUGH: Former Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh was back in court Tuesday on chargest of criminal sexual conduct more than 10 years ago when Pugh was a TV news anchor. The judge held his bond at $500,000 and set a preliminary exam for Aug. 5. 

10,000 DEMOLITIONS: Detroit is celebrating the 10,000th vacant house knocked down since Mayor Mike Duggan took office. The mayor says the milestone shows progress in his administration's fight against blight.
