AUSTIN, TX – Police are on the scene of a series of downtown Austin shootings that have left at least one person dead. Police are warning residents to stay away from the downtown area.
According to Austin-Travis County EMS, multiple units are responding to the area of 208 East 6th St.

Paramedics say there are several gunshot wound patients spread across the area, and they are trying to locate all patients and assess the severity of the injuries.
Police say the scenes have been secured, but remind residents that this is still considered an active shooter situation and to avoid the area.
At least one person has been killed.
