Get ready for a "Sun Day!"

Spectacular weather for the second half of the weekend!

DETROIT – After a fantastic Saturday, Mother Nature is really going to spoil us today.  We’ll see a ton of sun, and those low to mid 80s (28° Celsius) will be easy to take since the humidity will still be relatively low.  Some of you up in the Thumb may actually remain in the upper 70s (26° Celsius)!  Today’s sunrise is at 6:33 AM, and today’s sunset is at 8:44 PM.

Mostly clear and very comfortable tonight.  Lows near 60° (15-16° Celsius)…and even cooler in rural areas away from the big cities.

Mostly sunny on Monday, with highs in the mid 80s (29° Celsius)…notice that temperatures are heading back upward, but not the humidity…at least not yet.

Mostly clear Monday night, with lows in the mid 60s (18° Celsius).

Mostly sunny and hot on Tuesday, with highs in the upper 80s to near 90° (32° Celsius), and the humidity will start ramping back up during the afternoon.

Mostly clear, warm and muggy Tuesday night, with lows in the low 70s (21° Celsius).

Partly cloudy, hot and humid on Wednesday, with highs in the low to mid 90s (33-34° Celsius).

The heat and humidity will stick around on Thursday and Friday.  Highs appear to be in the low 90s (33° Celsius) on Thursday, and in the upper 80s to near 90° (32° Celsius) on Friday.  As far as thunderstorm potential – and boy do we need some rain – scattered storms are possible on Thursday, and a better chance on Friday.  Thunderstorms chances appear to continue into at least part of next weekend, but details are pretty murky at this point.
