Susan G. Komen Michigan 3-Day raises over $1.6 million
DETROIT – The Susan G. Komen Michigan 3-Day event raised more than $1.6 million as men and women walked more than 60 miles in the fight for a world without breast cancer.
“We could not accomplish this feat without our incredible participants,” Susan G. Komen 3-Day program manager Chrissy Mathews said. “The preparation and dedication of these walkers is inspiring and helps us get closer each day to eliminating this disease.”
The money raised will go to breast cancer research and community outreach programs.
Susan G. Komen officials said more than $56 million has been raised in the area through Komen Michigan 3-Day.
