Some Olympic teams ditch traditional 2-piece uniform

Many beach volleyballers are choosing the traditional two piece outfits in Rio, but they no longer are required to.

Viewed by some as sexists and a way to exploit female athletes, teams are now free to design their own uniforms. The outfits worn in a match between the Egyptian team and the German team show the extremes.

Egyptian team Nada Meawad and Doaa Elghobashy shunned the bikini during their match against Germany on Monday morning in favor of long sleeves and long pants - Elghobashy covered her hair with a hijab.

Their German rivals stuck to the sports traditional two-piece.
