Clouds move in Sunday night in metro Detroit

Showers fall early Monday morning

DETROIT – Sunday's weather will be superb! Bright, mild and perfect for baseball, long walks along the river and galloping through the pumpkin patch. Rain and cooler weather arrives soon.

Sunday morning will be bright and cool. Sunrise is at 7:23am ET, and it will be gorgeous. Under the beautiful blues and pinks, the air will be chilly and crisp for early risers going to services or enjoying outdoor activities. Having an extra blanket in bed, a sweatshirt and a jacket outside with help family members stay warm. Temps will be in the 40s and low 50s.

Sunday afternoon will be milder and mostly sunny. Trips to the apple orchard and cider mill will be exquisite. Highs will be in the low 70s. The Detroit Tigers fight for the wild card spot by taking on the Kansas City Royals at Comerica Park. First pitch is at 1:10pm ET.

Sunday evening will be fair and cool with temps in the 60s.

Clouds move in Sunday night. The blanket of clouds will keep temps in the upper 50s and low 60s overnight. Showers fall early Monday morning.

Monday has a chance of showers and storms, especially during the morning commute and mid-day. Highs will be near 70 degrees, and drivers must be careful on wet roads when returning to work and school.

Monday night and Tuesday will be drier. Tuesday will be partly sunny to mostly cloudy, cool and breezy. Parents will need to make sure their children have their jackets and hats. Highs will be in the mid 60s, but it will feel like the 50s and low 60s most of the day.

Wednesday will be overcast with scattered showers and remain cool Highs will be in the mid and upper 60s.

Thursday and Friday will be sunnier and milder, again. Highs will be in the low 70s.
