Detroit Pistons assistant coach gets probation in DUI case

SOUTHFIELD – Detroit Pistons assistant coach Tim Hardaway was back in court Monday for his DUI arrest.  

Hardaway was originally arrested in April after police spotted him speeding along 13 mile road in Beverly Hills. Court records show his blood alcohol content was .17.

On September 8th, the 50 year-old pled no contest to the DUI charges and asked for an expedited sentence.  

Monday, the 5-time NBA All-Star was sentenced to 18 months probation, fines, community service, and participating in a driver intervention program. Â
