2 injured men rescued from Pontiac water tower

PONTIAC, Mich. – Officials rescued two men injured inside a water tower in Pontiac on Friday.

The water tower is located near the corner of Montcalm and Edison streets. Crews worked for at least an hour to remove the men. One man on a stretcher was seen wheeled to an awaiting ambulance. Rescue workers removed a second man and took him to a medical helicopter. 

Both people are believed to be seriously injured.

An emergency helicopter is taking one of the victims to Beaumont Hospital, officials said.
