Police: 366 cases of McClure's Pickles stolen in Detroit

Pickles may have been sold to stores at cut-rate prices

DETROIT – Detroit police say thousands of dollars of pickles, bloody Mary mix and chips may have been stolen from McClure’s Pickles in Detroit and sold to stores at cut-rate prices.

Missing inventory prompted concerns and police said 366 cases of jarred pickles, 58 cases of chips and 25 pails of pickles were stolen.

Five area stores were found selling the products at prices below normal. Store owners or workers could face charges it they got the products illegally.

McClure’s started in 2006 and is based in Detroit.
