Mateen Cleaves' defense carried the day Friday in many ways.
Mundy Township police Sgt. Todd Johnson, who is one of five officers who responded to the first call at the Knights Inn on the night of the alleged assault, testified he spoke to both Cleaves and the alleged victim. Johnson said after speaking with them he did not believe there was any crime committed.
