Metro Detroit weather: Snow, rain continue overnight
DETROIT – Rain and snow showers made streets slippery across Detroit and Southeast Michigan Sunday.
Please join me on Twitter (@AndrewLocal4) for regular weather updates.
Sunday night will be cloudy and chilly with showers moving on after midnight. Temps fall to the freezing mark or just a bit below. Untreated road surfaces have a chance of icing over and causing trouble for Monday morning's commute. Homeowners can sprinkle salt on their driveways, patios and walkways to keep them to avoid any slip and falls going back to work and school.
Monday will not be as cold. Highs will be in the low and mid 40s. Skies will be partly sunny to mostly cloudy.
A few scattered showers are possible Monday night and Tuesday. Tuesdays highs will be near 40 degrees.
A cold blast of Canadian air arrives Wednesday and stays for the rest of the work week. Highs will be in the 30s and lows will be in the 20s and, eventually, teens.
