Woman charged after grandson threatened with rifle for taking too long in the shower

FERNDALE, Mich. – A Ferndale grandmother was arraigned Tuesday afternoon after allegedly threatening her 15-year-old grandson with a rifle because he was taking too long in the shower.

Jaclynn Wedlow is charged with one count of felonious assault and one count of assault and battery. Her bond was set at $15,000 -- personal bond. She promised the judge she will appear in court. She was ordered not to possess or purchase any firearms or other dangerous weapons. The judge also ordered no contact with her grandson and she cannot live at the home in Ferndale.

According to police, the grandmother lives with her daughter and grandchildren. Authorities said there were issues over bills and she pulled a rifle on her 15-year-old grandson because he was taking too long in the shower.
