DETROIT – Officers from the Oak Park Police Department said brothers Kevin and Eugene Davis were spotted trying to steal a car in an Oak Park neighborhood.
When police arrived, Sunday's snowstorm was at its peak, but officers did not let up and a chase ensued.
In the dashcam video released by Oak Park police, the brothers can be seen fleeing in the stolen red vehicle before spinning out and crashing.
Eugene Davis took off on foot while his brother stayed behind in the vehicle, where he was arrested.
Eugene was later found approximately a mile and a half away near 8 Mile Road in Detroit, after he broke into the basement of a home that was occupied by a family.
Police entered the home and arrested Eugene.
The brothers were arraigned this morning and they’re facing a number of charges, including resisting and obstructing police and fleeing the scene.
