ARMADA, Mich. – Students and teachers had to be evacuated from Krause Elementary School Thursday morning in Armada due to a gas leak.
All Armada Area Schools will be closed for rest of the day.

The Elementary School has a gas leak and students/teachers have been evacuated to the High School. All students/staff are safe and the situation is being evaluated.
UPDATE: All schools will be closed and students will be dismissed as follows: The Elementary students will continue to stay under supervision at the High School and can be picked up by parents at 10:15 am; Middle School students will be dismissed at 9:00 am and students who are normally transported by bus will be transported home; High School students will dismissed at 9:15 am and students who are normally transported by bus will be transported home.
