DETROIT – A 26-year-old man was killed in a traffic accident that occurred in the 19000 block of Orleans Street on the city's east side, Detroit police said.
Police said the man was driving northbound on Orleans Street in a maroon Lincoln when another vehicle attempted to pass him on the left side.
The victim swerved to the right and hit a curb before losing control and striking a tree, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died.
