A teacher at Ashley Park Elementary in Charlotte, North Carolina, is making a special connection with his students.
"It's personalized handshakes," Barry White Jr. told NBC Nightly News. "We pride ourselves on high expectations in the classroom and meaningful relationships."

White told NBC Nightly News he does at least 40 unique handshakes with his students.
"At this point, it's muscle memory," White told NBC Nightly News. He said he got the idea from watching LeBron James' handshakes with his Cleveland Cavaliers teammates.
