ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A bicyclist was killed Thursday afternoon while attempting to cross Gratiot Avenue in Roseville.
According to police, the 77-year-old Roseville man was on the median of Gratiot Avenue near Waldron Street attempting to cross the northbound lanes at about 2 p.m. While crossing the street, a 45-year-old Warren woman was traveling north in the right lane and struck him.
The man was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead, police said.
The woman, who was driving a 2010 Chrysler Sebring, stopped at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said. It does not appear drugs or alcohol were involved.
According to police, it has not been determined if the driver will be charged with any violations.
