DEARBORN, Mich. – A man was arrested after police said he pulled out a handgun Sunday during an argument at a Chuck E. Cheese's in Dearborn.
Chauntez Stephens allegedly got into an argument with another person at the Chuck E. Cheese's and pulled a handgun out of his pants.
After running from the restaurant, Stephens was confronted by officials who ordered him to drop his weapon. Stephens dropped the handgun and fled the scene on foot.
Parents and children heading into the restaurant Thursday night couldn't believe a grown man thought pulling his gun out at a children's party because he was in a fight was appropriate behavior. "My first reaction would be to just leave, grab my baby and go," Chanique Wilson told us. "If I had known we wouldn't be here today."
Stephens was arrested Monday and gave a full confession, police said.
Stephens was charged with carrying a concealed weapon by the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office. He is being held on $25,000 bail.
A probable cause conference is scheduled for March 3.
