Water main break blocks corner of Trinity, Pickford streets on Detroit's west side

DETROIT – A water main break flooded the corner of Pickford Street and Trinity Street on Detroit’s west side Tuesday morning.

Video shows water flowing out over the street corner. Police have the corner blocked off and are advising drivers to seek an alternate route.

A woman whose home is in the area said she found her basement flooded following the water main break.

The water is shut off between Pickford Street and Carl Street as the city works to repair the break. It is not certain when the fix may be completed.

Below is a video from the scene Tuesday morning.
