Man resuscitated by Detroit firefighters after he was found unresponsive in burning home

DETROIT – A 50-year-old man was rescued by firefighters after a fire broke out inside a Detroit home, according to officials.

According to the Detroit Fire Department, the fire started in the basement of a home on Belfast on Detroit’s west side.

A man was inside the home at the time of the fire. When emergency crews arrived, he was found to be unresponsive and not breathing.

He was then resuscitated by Detroit firefighters and resumed breathing.

The man was transported to a hospital in critical condition, while the three women were treated on the scene.

No other injuries were reported.
