DTE Energy: 7,000 still without power

Crews working to restore power to final 7,000 customers

DETROIT – DTE Energy announced Tuesday that 7,000 are still without power.

"Crews will work through the night to restore (power to the) final 15,000 customers," DTE tweeted.

DTE Energy is focused on restoring power to the less than 2 percent of customers who still don't have power, the company announced.

"Regretfully, the snow and icy road conditions, coupled with complicated and time-consuming repairs, impeded restoration efforts on Monday," DTE said.

Crews will work through the night to get the lights back on for the remaining 15,000 customers, DTE announced.

"For those still without power, DTE knows this has been a trying period," DTE said. "As DTE continues to receive information from the field, estimates are being updated for customers."

DTE Energy said 785,000 customers have had their power restored during the massive outage.
