Media not allowed to cover Trump's departure from Michigan

DETROIT – Members of the media will be at Detroit Metro Airport for President Donald Trump's arrival Wednesday, but they won't be allowed there when he leaves later in the day.

Why? That's unclear. Speaking from our own experience here at Local 4 and ClickOnDetroit, we've always been allowed to be at the President's departure.

But we received this statement from the White House this week:

"Air Force One departure is CLOSED PRESS."

So don't expect footage of Air Force One leaving Detroit Metro Airport today. Maybe you can catch it on our airport live cam -- watch here

We know he's leaving at some point because he has a rally scheduled for tonight in Nashville.
