Police: Suspicious men approach children at home in Allen Park


ALLEN PARK, Mich. – Police have been alerted of a stranger danger incident that happened Thursday in Allen Park.

According to police, a 3-year-old boy was looking out the front door of his home the in the 9300 block of Marlborough Avenue and his 12-year-old brother was looking out the front window.

The 12-year-old saw a white van or truck with a wooden flatbed stop abruptly in the street, back up to their house and stop in the middle of the street.

The passenger, a white man, got out of the vehicle and walked toward the home, police said. The driver, a black man, also got out of the vehicle and stood next to it.

Police said the older boy pushed his brother out of the way of the door and shut and locked it.

According to police, the passenger was almost to the porch when the door was closed, and he turned, walked quickly back to the vehicle and left.

Police do not know the intentions of the men.
